The long-awaited biopic about the band KISS titled “Shout It Out Loud” will be directed by McG, who previously worked on films like “Charlie's Angels,” “We Are Marshall,” “The Baby Sitter,” and more. The biopic was first announced by the band's longtime manager, Doc McGee, in 2019.
In 2021, information emerged that Netflix was close to a deal for the film, and that Norwegian director Joakim Renning would direct it, however, he later left the project.
Now, McG shared some news about the film during the KISS Cruise event in Las Vegas:
"I think KISS is the most exciting rock 'n' roll band in history, and that's why we owe the KISS Army the most exciting movie ever. This band broke all the barriers with the live album, because people want to feel what it's like to be at their concert. My goal is to give everyone the experience that you can have in the cinema, where your face is literally burning with energy from the stage and in that sense, from the screen, and that's why I'm so excited about KISS shows," McG pointed out.
He emphasized that his film will also be available on streaming platforms so that a larger number of fans of the band can see it. The director also emphasized that he wants to portray the legendary band as someone who changed the music industry.
