Oscar-winning Jennifer Lawrence recently spoke in an interview about filming intimate scenes with co-star Robert Pattinson for her latest film, "Die My Love."
The actress pointed out that she prefers to film sex scenes with actors she doesn't hang out with in private.
Lawrence, known for her roles in “The Hunger Games” and “Silver Playbook,” plays a young mother struggling with postpartum depression in the psychological drama “Die My Love,” directed by Lynn Ramsay, opposite Robert Pattinson.
The film, which also stars Nick Nolte, Sissy Spacek and Luckett Stanfield, and was co-produced by Martin Scorsese, received critical acclaim and earned Lawrence a Golden Globe nomination for her performance.
In an interview with People magazine, Lawrence pointed out that the fact that she didn't know the star of the "Twilight" films made the experience of filming intimate scenes much easier.
"Because Rob and I didn't know each other before, it was much better. Like in 'The Hunger Games' where I was supposed to kiss Josh Hutcherson... imagine... That's much weirder. So I prefer working with strangers," she explained.
In the same interview, the actress revealed that the director made her and Pattinson take dance lessons before filming a scene in which they were both naked.
"We took lessons three weeks before we started filming. Rob and I are very shy, so filming that scene was terrifying for us. I'm not a dancer, and Rob is the worst dancer ever, so it was really humiliating," Lawrence recalled.
