Few actors have gone through such great ups and downs as... Tom Hardy, who made his film debut in 2001 in the film “Black Hawk Down” Ridley Scott, and in the same year he appeared in two episodes of the acclaimed mini-series “Band of Brothers”.
After a series of failures, Hardy's name almost disappeared from the spotlight. However, in the early 2010s, a series of excellent films brought him back into the spotlight, and today he is considered an established blockbuster star with a strong influence in Hollywood, writes Farout Magazine.
The road to the top wasn't easy, but Hardy made it, and his popularity led to roles in several high-profile franchises. He is known to have taken on the role of Mel Gibson in the film "Mad Max: Fury Road", he also participated in major superhero wars, appearing as DC's Bane and Marvel's Venom, and there is also his role in "Star Trek: Nemesis".
Speaking to “The Playlist,” Hardy talked about his roles in many of the greatest film franchises ever, but when asked about his favorite, the answer was a little unexpected.
“I love 'Star Wars.' My favorite character is Han Solo. No, I would really like to do more 'Star Wars' movies. It was great. I always wanted to be in a 'Star Wars' movie. So, playing a stormtrooper was fantastic,” he stated.
But many people can't remember which "Star Wars" movie Tom Hardy was in because his role was so small. He appeared in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" (the second film in the sequel trilogy and the eighth "Star Wars" film overall) in the uniform of one of the Imperial soldiers. In the scene, his character accidentally finds himself next to Finn, played by John Boyega in an officer's uniform, and Finn even slaps him on the butt - probably the first time something like that has happened in a galaxy far, far away.
Hardy isn't the only famous actor to have a minor role in Disney's remake trilogy. For example, Daniel Craig also played one of the Imperial soldiers on whom Rey first uses her Jedi powers in "The Force Awakens."
"The Last Jedi" contains several hidden famous faces, including British princes. William i Days who also wore soldier helmets.
Unfortunately for Hardy, his scene was ultimately cut from the theatrical version of “The Last Jedi.”
