According to regional portals, the Serbian-Croatian romantic comedy "The Wedding" is breaking records at the very beginning of its screening, making it the first film to premiere in Croatia simultaneously in 13 CineStar "Branimir Mingle Malla" theaters, and in each of them the film crew paid tribute to the audience.
The film directed by Igor Šeregi had a record pre-sale of 41263 tickets in Croatia, and by the premiere itself, that number had increased to 70 tickets sold.
Premieres were also held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it will begin showing in Serbia on January 28th, while it will arrive in Montenegrin cinemas a day later.
According to media reports from Serbia, tickets for the premiere at the Sava Center have already been sold out.
The situation in Podgorica is somewhat different, where tickets for three screenings scheduled for January 29th are still on sale.
The cast of the film The Wedding includes Dragan Bjelogrlić, Rene Bitorajac, Linda Begonja, Vesna Trivalić, Ađelka Stević Žugić, Roko Sikavica, Ni Grbelj, Marko Grabež, Seka Sablić, Srđan Žika Todorović, Snježana Sinovčić Šišković, Dejan Aćimović and many others.
The plot of the film "The Wedding", according to the synopsis, but also the released trailers, follows a series of unexpected and hilarious plots: a Croatian businessman learns on his birthday that he is facing bankruptcy, while at the same time discovering that his daughter is pregnant with the son of a Serbian minister, which triggers a series of comical, but also emotional situations.
