Director and screenwriter Oliver Stone was not thrilled with the acting of film great Michael Douglas in his film "Wall Street," in fact, he disliked him so much that he asked the actor "if he was on drugs" during production.

Douglas plays the character of Gordon in this 1987 film, and recently, while appearing at the TCM Classic Film Festival in New York, the 81-year-old, who has retired from acting, recounted his experiences on set.

“We finished the second week of filming and I hear someone knocking on my door,” Douglas recalls.

"I heard - Hey, Mike, it's Oliver, can I come in? I said yes and he got into the trailer and sat down," the actor continues.

"He asked me if I was okay, I said I was. And then he asked me if I was on drugs. I said I wasn't, and he told me he was asking because it looked like I'd never acted in my life," he said, adding that he told the director he didn't watch the daily reports from the shoot to check his work.

"I'm one of those guys who always sees what's bad and what won't be in the movie, so I don't pay attention to the daily reports," Douglas explained, pointing out that he told Stone that he would check them regularly in the future.
