Spanish musician Rosalia's television acting debut is approaching, and she has shared more details about her mysterious character in the long-awaited third season of the popular series "Euphoria."
Speaking to Vogue, Rosalia revealed that there were "unplanned synchronicities".
"There was a bridge, which surprised me... There was a connection that I didn't expect," Rosalia said.
However, she did not specify what kind of parallels she was referring to.
In the trailer for season three, the singer briefly appears as a dancer on stage at a club called "Silver Stripper." She stands out with a striking, glittery orthopedic collar around her neck.
Although the musician did not reveal any additional details about her character, series creator Sam Levinson offered insight into possible connections between her and her character.
"During filming, we talked about her album and the ideas that led to season three, and we were both surprised by their thematic and religious alignment," Levinson told Vogue.
Levinson also shared how much he was moved by Rosalia's album "Lux" upon first listening.
"When I first heard Lux, I was deeply moved. The song 'Divinize' particularly struck me. She created a truly transcendent work of art," he said.
It's a moment that Rosalia also remembered, as Levinson was one of the first people she played the album to.
"He was crying, and it shocked me," Rosalia said.
"I've never seen him like that. I somehow felt that it was a sign that I was on the right path, because that's how I made this album. I recorded it in tears," she said.
Although not much is still known about Rosalie's character in "Euphoria," Levinson praised her performance.
"Rosalia had a fantastic audition. She's a great character. Funny, strong, emotional. I also love her accent. She was perfect for the role," he said.
The third season of Euphoria arrives on April 12th on HBO Max.
