One of Netflix's most successful titles, La Casa de Papel, has apparently not yet closed its chapter. The streaming platform has released a mysterious teaser that hints at a continuation of this television universe, but without clearly revealing what the project is about.
The original series ended in 2021, but the franchise has continued to expand. A South Korean remake followed in 2022, while in 2023, audiences were treated to a spin-off, "Berlin," focused on one of the most popular characters from the original.
The new teaser quickly caused a huge stir on social media and sparked numerous theories among fans. The red jumpsuits and Dali masks, the series' trademark, once again flooded the internet.
In short shots, scenes of famous robberies alternate, along with segments from the character Berlin's earlier "European missions", which further reinforces the impression that the story is not yet over.
The narration is accompanied by a message that further heightens the tension:
"First there was money, then gold and priceless treasures. But the revolution is not over," after which the teaser ends with the sentence: "The next step has already begun."
At the same time, it has been confirmed that the Berlin story will continue. The second season of the Berlin spin-off, titled "Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine," arrives on May 15. Pedro Alonso returns as the charismatic and ruthless robber, and the action moves to Seville, with a new team and another complex criminal plan.
