Demi Moore spoke about the impact of artificial intelligence on the film industry during the jury conference at this year's Cannes International Film Festival, saying that AI has already become part of reality and that the film industry should find a way to collaborate with the technology, rather than oppose it.

"Artificial intelligence is here. Fighting it is a battle we will lose. It is much more important to find a way to work with it," said Moore, responding to a question about how much AI is changing the film business and whether there are sufficient protection mechanisms.

She added that she is not sure that the industry currently sufficiently protects authors and artists from the possible consequences of the development of new technologies.

"My guess is probably not," the actress said.

Moore, who presented the film "The Substance" at Cannes last year, pointed out that artificial intelligence can have useful aspects, but believes that it will never be able to replace what comes from human experience.

"True art does not come from the physical or technical part, but from the soul and spirit of each person. That is something that technology cannot recreate," she said.

The conference also discussed the relationship between art and politics. Moore said that self-censorship could threaten the very essence of creativity.

"If we start censoring ourselves, then we shut down the place where truth and answers emerge," the actress said.
