Streaming platform Netflix has announced the 'KPop Demon Hunters' world concert tour, and a waiting list is already available for anyone who wants first information about the event.
The animated production has become a global phenomenon, breaking records as the most-watched film in Netflix history after its release last year. The song "Golden" from the film won two Oscars, a Grammy, and two Golden Globes, and also topped the charts in more than 30 countries.
Now Netflix is also announcing a live concert tour.
Few details have been revealed so far, but a press release states that it will be a "live experience that will bring elements of the two-Oscar-winning film to life in a spectacular way."
Fans who want more information can sign up for a waiting list, and the site promises that those who sign up will be "the first to know when cities, dates and tickets are announced later this year."
"It's clear that nothing has captured the world's attention like 'KPop Demon Hunters,'" said Netflix's president of ad sales, Aimee Reinhard, during the presentation.
"There were sing-alongs, Halloween costumes, mentions at the US Open... There was even a 25 percent increase in the number of flights booked to South Korea. Today, 'KPop Demon Hunters' remains the most popular movie on Netflix, and we are very excited to announce that next year, in partnership with AEG Presents, we will continue that success with our first world concert tour," she added.
"The live tour will allow fans to get even closer to the characters and music they love, and of course we want you to be a part of that. We'll be sharing more information about the host cities later this year, so stay tuned," Reinhardt emphasized.
