Jack Osbourne has revealed that a biopic about his parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, will "absolutely" be made, and is currently scheduled to premiere in 2028.

The film was first announced in 2021 and will follow the life of the “Prince of Darkness” and his wife and manager Sharon.

The screenplay is written by Lee Hull, an Oscar nominee known for the films “Rocketman” and “Billy Elliot,” while the project is being developed by Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment.

Last August, it was announced that the project was still in development after Ozzy passed away the previous month at the age of 76.

Jack Osborne confirmed in January that a "phenomenal" actor had already been cast for the lead role.

Now, he has shared new information about the project via his YouTube channel.

“I can tell you this: we are moving forward full force,” he said.

"I had conversations about it today. The script is ready. Everything is going well. This movie will absolutely happen," said the son of the famous musician and frontman of the band Black Sabbath.

Speaking about the possible release date, he pointed out that it will most likely be 2028.

"Realistically - we're already halfway through 2026 - it probably won't come out until 2028. But you never know. In any case, we're going full steam ahead. We're starting the search for a director now. Fingers crossed," said Jack Osbourne.

"I'm really excited. This has been a project of love for us. I can't wait for people to see this film," he said.

The news comes on the heels of the success of another music biopic - "Michael," based on the life of Michael Jackson, known as the "King of Pop," which reportedly broke box office records and is already receiving plans for a sequel.

Meanwhile, homeless charity Centrepoint has cut ties with Sharon Osbourne after it appeared to support a rally by far-right activist Tommy Robinson.

However, the Osbornes are known to be active in humanitarian causes, and all proceeds from Black Sabbath's last concert were donated to charity.
