On the set of "The Madison" she had no toilet or food.

"Even the outhouse isn't real. There's no air conditioning, no plumbing, nothing. But the place is incredibly magnificent," Michelle Pfeiffer said.

To get the right shot, actors often have to endure very difficult conditions on set, including Golden Globe winner Michelle Pfeiffer.

Appearing on the podcast "In Conversation," the 67-year-old actress, who plays Stacy in Taylor Sheridan's latest TV series "The Madison" for Paramount Plus, spoke about the harsh conditions of filming in Montana and Texas.

"You might as well be in a tent because, you know, there's no bathroom," Pfeiffer said of filming the outdoor scenes.

"Even the outhouse isn't real. There's no air conditioning, no plumbing, no nothing. But the place is incredibly magnificent," she added.

"It took us some time to get used to it, because they built that cabin in a hurry. Everything was a bit rushed for all of us and some things just weren't organized," the actress claims.

"We didn't even have trailers, because they were filming 360 degrees. They couldn't keep a bunch of trailers around. We really didn't have anywhere to sit. There was no bathroom nearby. There was no food. In the winter, it was cold. We asked, 'Can we get a heater?' And in the summer, 'Can I get an umbrella because the sun is really strong?' It took us half the shoot to figure all that out," she recounted.

Her character, Stacy, is the matriarch of a wealthy New York family who makes a life-changing decision after a devastating tragedy in the first episode.

After the loss, Stacy and her family leave Manhattan and move to the rural Madison River Valley of Montana, trying to recover.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in March, Pfeiffer explained that accepting the project was a "big leap into the unknown" for her, as Sheridan did not have a finished script for the series, he wanted to cast the actors first, and then write.

"Taylor wanted to know who Stacey was before he started writing. I wanted to know who Stacey was before I committed. So we went around in circles for a while and it became clear to me that I wasn't going to win that battle," she admitted at the time.
