Jane Seymour reveals which role fans were worried about

Jane Seymour surprised many fans when she swapped her recognizable, cheerful portrayal of Dr. Quinn from the series "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" for a role in the R-rated adult comedy "Wedding Crashers."

It was a move that represented a major departure from the character many viewers remembered her for during the nineties, but a decision she never questioned.

Speaking about this unexpected turn of events, Seymour revealed that some people doubted that the comedy was the right choice after the success of the popular series.

"People were like, 'You should never do something like that after Dr. Quinn. People will be horrified and go completely crazy.' And I said, 'Well, it clearly says it's an R-rated movie. If you don't like mature content, just don't watch it,'" Seymour recalled.

The 2005 comedy follows two longtime friends, played by Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, who pose as guests at weddings to meet women and enjoy free food and drinks.

Seymour played Kathleen Cleary, the glamorous mother of the Cleary family, whose unexpected flirtation with Owen Wilson's character becomes one of the film's most interesting moments.

Although one scene caused a lot of attention because it looked like Seymour was topless in the film, the actress previously explained that it was a film illusion and special effects.

"I've never actually been naked, let's face it, although that might be a spoiler for people who keep rewinding and pausing the video. It's just a reflection... They put these things on (she pointed to her breasts), so it's practically like wearing a little bikini, especially with the way things are these days," she said.

The role of Kathleen Cleary marked a major departure from the characters that had characterized most of her career and showed that the actress did not want to be limited to just one type of role.

By accepting the R-rated comedy, she presented her different, humorous side to the audience, and from the very beginning, she was confident in her decision.

"I knew what I was doing and I was completely confident in it," Seymour concluded.
