In the film "John Wick: Chapter 2", Keanu Reeves will reprise the role of the eponymous character, and in the second part, to the delight of fans, he will be joined by Laurence Fishburne, with whom he played in the cult "The Matrix Revolution" in 2003.
In a conversation with the ET portal, the two actors revealed how they came to collaborate again.
"We were at my house and talked. He was telling me how much he really liked John Wick, and I told him there was a role that was currently being cast," Reeves recalled, adding that after that his task became to place the script in Fishburne's hands.
"He liked the role and agreed. Long story short, I started working with the wonderful and incredible Laurence Fishburne," he pointed out.
Reeves also referred to the fact that they had not seen each other in the frame for almost 15 years, and explained that during that period both of them had changed a lot.
“We've grown as actors, but Fishburne's talent is from another universe. He is amazing. It's always great to work with someone you think is the best," said Reeves.
And nice words came from the other side, from the 55-year-old star of the "Black-ish" series.
"He was great in several movies that came out," said Fishburne, singling out "Man of Tai Chi," which Reeves directed.
"I remember that ten years ago, while we were sitting in my kitchen, he told me about that movie. He stuck to it and worked very hard, raised the money and finished it. That's why I'm very proud of him," he said.
