Paul McCartney, a member of the former group Beatles (The Beatles), announced that he is writing short musical compositions that will be accompanied by thumbnails for expressing emotions on the Skype program.
"At first I thought it was a bit of a weird proposition, and I didn't know if it was good for me. Then I thought - why not? It's something interesting, new and cute," McCartney said in a video, published on his website.
In the video, the famous British musician can be seen working in the studio on songs that will be accompanied by 20 Skype emoticons that express emotions.
Several songs should be released already on February 14, on Valentine's Day.
McCartney said that the task he has is not at all simple, because each composition should express some feeling and last only five seconds. The hardest part, he added, will be to write music for the thumbnails that indicate flirting or blushing.
"It will be a good style exercise for me," he said.
Paul McCartney often uses the thumbnails offered by the Skype program in communication, according to the Agence France Presse.
