An ad has appeared on the Internet looking for volunteers to pet cats, and it was posted by a shelter for neglected animals in Newcastle, in the north of England.
The shelter is looking for people who are ready to actively deal with cats and help them adapt to people, by constantly petting them.
The shelter is currently taking care of 15 abandoned kittens, which it should adopt soon. Those interested will have to pet these little kitties for three to seven weeks, during the "socialization" period, which is crucial for their development.
Otherwise, the cats remain wild and have a hard time adapting to life in the house.
The task, however, will not be so easy, because wild and semi-wild cats are very difficult to approach at the beginning.
In the shelter, however, they assure that true cat lovers will not have a problem if a cat scratches or bites them here and there.
