Croatian actor Rene Bitorajac found himself in the public eye, after the Croatian media announced that he had caused a fight on Friday evening in Gajeva street in Zagreb, but he denied it, explaining that he had been attacked.
"I didn't challenge anyone, but three men sitting at the table next to ours poured beer on us and provoked us. There was no security in the cafe, so I headed over to their table to defuse the situation. As soon as I approached, I was punched in the head, and another guy grabbed me from behind and started choking me," the actor explained to Story.hr. He added that he then hit the bar and scratched his face.
"Since the cafe has no security, people pushed us out. We immediately called the police, who came in four minutes, but they ran away," said Bitorajac, who was in the company of the famous Croatian magician Luka Vidović and his godfather that night.
The actor also referred to the media that announced that he and his company had caused a fight and that they called the police only when they saw that support was coming to the opposite side.
"They twisted my story, I didn't attack anyone. There is a surveillance camera, the cafe was full of people, I have a lot of witnesses, the police were called immediately and there is a record, so I hope that everything will be resolved", he pointed out.
