Model and former Montenegrin Miss Nikolina Lončar and football player Sutjeska Srđan Radonjić made their relationship official and got engaged during their stay in Istanbul in mid-January.
After almost two years of relationship, Radonjić decided to put an engagement ring on the finger of his better half, and considering that she is currently preparing in Igalo with her teammates, Lončar told "Vijesti" about one of the most beautiful nights in her life.
"Every night we went to a different restaurant, but then I noticed that something was different. We were alone, there were candles, it was romantic, and at one point Srdjan got lost for fifteen minutes. However, it never occurred to me that he would propose to me," the Montenegrin beauty is honest.
“After we had dinner, he took my hand, took out the ring and asked me to marry him. I was in such shock that I couldn't speak and it took me ten seconds to answer him and say 'yes'", she recalls, adding that her hands were shaking and her heart was beating fast.
"Only when I came to my senses did I start questioning him when he planned and thought of it, and he answered that he had been waiting for the right moment for a long time," explains Lončar, who agreed with her fiance that one day she would take the children to Istanbul. to show them where their parents got engaged.
Nikolina adds that the wedding is not their priority yet, and that they will not appear before the registrar any time soon.
"It will happen when we are both ready. For now, our priority is my university and its work obligations", explained the model, and then added with a laugh that her fiance went to preparations and left her with the most difficult job - informing her friends.
"It was hard for me that we were separated for a while, but I will use that period to dedicate myself to study and exams as much as possible," she explained.
The Montenegrin footballer and his fiancee used their stay in Istanbul to rest and see the city, and as Lončar says, the private guide showed them almost all the important places they planned to see.
"We were in both the European and Asian parts. We visited all possible places, walked, took pictures, and rested in one part. The weather helped us, so we also went on a Bosphorus cruise. I am really delighted with Istanbul", said this model.
"We were supposed to go to Dubai for the New Year, but due to Srđan's business obligations, we had to stay in Podgorica, so we spent the New Year holidays in Budva," she revealed.
How do you tell dad?
Nikolina's mother was the first to hear the good news, followed by her and Srđan's parents.
"First I called my mom and told her not to say anything to my dad, because I was thinking about how to tell him, considering that I am very attached to him. After returning from Istanbul, we visited Srđan's parents, his sisters and brother, and then we went to Pljevlja", says the former miss.
Her father was taken aback at first, but the next day he got used to the new information.
"During the conversation with my dad, Srđan explained why we got engaged. As he says, nowadays everyone calls themselves boyfriend and girlfriend, and he proposed to me in order to raise it to a more serious level, make our relationship official and show how much he really loves me", explains Lončar.
