Famous artist, born in Belgrade, Marina Abramović is planning her own funeral, which should take place in three cities - New York, Belgrade and Amsterdam.
In an interview with the Viennese weekly "Profil", she said that she wanted director Robert Wilson to design her funeral.
According to the artist, who will be one of the main guests of the upcoming Viennese festival "Vienale" and who will present new works in the Viennese gallery "Krizinger", the funeral will be held with three coffins, in three different cities, while it will be a secret in who will find her body.
Although her work is considered radical-feminist art, Abramović does not trust feminism.
"Art has no gender. Art is not democratic. There is good art and bad art," she explained.
"Whoever thinks feminist is in the ghetto," she said, adding that she has been fighting against being seen as a female artist for decades. Feminism in art, she believes, is a stigma.
"I've never seen a single good feminist exhibition in my life. That's the problem. Unfortunately, most ardent feminists are bad artists," said Abramović.
