A doctor's assistant informed the local authorities about the photo collection at his colleague, a doctor from Schifferstadt near Frankfurt, in the west of Germany, the German agency DPA reported, and AFP reported.
About 1.850 naked female patients can be seen in photos and several videos, and this material was discovered in September 2011, DPA reports a statement from the prosecutor's office.
The doctor, who has not yet been charged, will appear in court on April 19, where he will try to overturn the decision to revoke his license. The defense lawyer said that his client is ready to accept work in the laboratory, without any contact with patients.
