French environmental activists have come up with an ideal way to draw attention to their protest.
More than 250 women and men protested completely naked on a meadow in La Roche Blanche against air pollution from a nearby factory in Beaulieu.
The members of the eco-association "Disanje" decided to organize a gathering under the name "We stand naked" in a peaceful but impressive manner in order to warn about the air pollution and health consequences of the local population caused by the factory since its construction in 2003.
As Index reports, with their nudity they wanted to warn of the fragility of women and men in the face of heavy industry and to show a man in a natural environment, naked in nature.
The protest lasted from 11 a.m. to 13 p.m., after which everyone got dressed and headed to a nearby restaurant where they ate lunch prepared from organically produced food.
