A Melbourne woman, known only as Sue, called the fire department to watch over her six-month-old baby after she realized she had left the house without the child, reports the Daily Telegraph.
It wasn't until she arrived at daycare to pick up her three-year-old son that Sue realized her younger child had stayed home to sleep.
"I haven't slept for two nights, my head is full," she explained to the firefighters, adding that she was on her way to kindergarten, where she was supposed to pick up her older child.
She also said that she tried to reach the neighbors, but as she was unsuccessful, the only thing she remembered was that she could call an emergency service, which can enter the house by force.
Officials at the Melbourne Fire Brigade say Sue did the right thing.
