An international drug-trafficking ring was busted in Australia this Sunday, with the help of a seal that angrily advertised and exposed the smugglers to Australian police, reports Fox News.
The seal prevented the escape of two foreign nationals from an island off the coast of the city of Geraldton.
"The guys actually had a choice, walk past the seal or get arrested, so they chose arrest," Damian Healy, deputy commander of the Geraldton Volunteer Rescue Service, told ABC radio.
Namely, two foreign nationals were on a yacht, which ran aground on September 2, before they tried to escape by boat.
On their way, a dangerous seal got in the way, which woke up the policemen with its noise.
Police officers found a ton of illegal narcotics, reports Hina.
"We have broken the chain of a major international criminal organization," Western Australia Police Chief Superintendent Chris Dawson said.
