A partial solar eclipse will take place on Sunday, June 21

On Sunday, June 21, there will be a partial solar eclipse that, globally, starts at 05.46:11.34 in the Atlantic and ends at XNUMX:XNUMX in the Pacific.

Citizens of Serbia will have the opportunity to observe a partial eclipse of the sun on Sunday, June 21, in the morning, announced the "Ruđer Bošković" Astronomical Society from Belgrade.

"From Serbia, it will be seen that a very small part of the Moon's disk obscures the Sun, and it probably won't even be noticeable while we are doing our daily activities, unless those activities are observing the sky.

A similar picture can be seen from Bosnia, Montenegro and part of Croatia (it will not be visible from Zagreb). Macedonia is in a more favorable position than Serbia," it says on the website https://svemir.blog

A solar eclipse only happens when it is a new moon phase, i.e. when the Moon is between the Earth and the Sun. Simply, the Moon's disc seemingly covers the Sun's and thus prevents sunlight from reaching certain parts of the Earth. We distinguish total, partial and annular eclipse, which depends on the current distances of the Moon and the Sun from the Earth.

In Belgrade, the Moon will cover only five percent of the Sun's diameter, the eclipse begins at 07.17:07.38, the maximum is at 07.59:42, and it ends at XNUMX:XNUMX and the total duration of the phenomenon is XNUMX minutes.

We can rightfully say that a solar eclipse is probably the most spectacular periodic astronomical event. In the case of a total eclipse, the day turns into twilight, we see stars and planets in the daytime sky, the temperature drops for a short time... Also, the annular eclipse of the Sun leaves you breathless, both through a telescope or binoculars with protective filters and in photographs, writes the universe. blog.

A partial eclipse, depending on the percentage of the Moon's disk covering the Sun's, can be more or less interesting. The reason is that we can see partial eclipses more often, while total and annular eclipses are visible only on a narrow strip of planet Earth.

The solar eclipse that will take place on June 21 will be visible as an annular from parts of Congo, Ethiopia, Yemen, Pakistan, India, China... It will be partially visible from the rest of the African continent, most of Asia (and a small part of Russia), as well as part of Europe .
