For decades, the most beautiful Montenegrin has been chosen every year, while this is not the case when it comes to the stronger sex. Until now, Montenegrins have rarely represented their country at beauty contests, and they will have that task in the next four years Vladimir Vukovic.
Dentistry student, Luča diploma holder, successful karate player, these are just some of the references of the 5-year-old from Podgorica who will be in Vietnam from November 23 to 2024, where he will represent Montenegro at the world beauty pageant Mr. World XNUMX.
Vladimir has been modeling for several years and has participated in numerous fashion shows, and in an interview with Viejsti he reveals what was his motive for applying for the most beautiful Montenegrin contest:
"I applied because I believe that I possess the psychophysical qualities that would allow me to express all my potential in full capacity", the Podgorica resident is sure, aware of the fact that beauty always carries prejudices.
“I am not so far in this business as to notice any particular hints of certain prejudices. We can talk about that after some time and more experience", promises Vuković, who is also involved in modeling, and the opinion is often instilled that precisely those who are engaged in modeling are focused exclusively on their appearance. However, this 20-year-old believes that in addition to external beauty, it is also important to nurture internal beauty.
"Outer beauty, in my opinion, is closely related to inner beauty. Just as form means nothing without content, external appearance has no meaning if it is not accompanied by internal content", he is sure and does not hide that he would like the perception of beauty to change in the future, especially when it comes to young people like him.
"Besides the gym for the muscles, you should also do the 'gym' for the intellect and spirit. So, weights, but also mental and spiritual efforts so that body and mind are in harmony", he advises.
Vladimir promises that as the official most beautiful Montenegrin, he will do his best to break those prejudices with this title.
"I was brought up in such a way that, to the greatest extent possible, I follow in action what I verbally stand for", says Mister briefly.
Unlike the misses who are chosen every year, Vladimir will proudly carry this title for the next four years. Apart from the competition in Vietnam, he reveals what his other responsibilities will be as a beauty ambassador during that period:
"First of all, I would like to highlight humanitarian activities, which are present and required of beauty ambassadors. Normally, I am open to all other possible obligations in that direction. In any case, I will try to present my country and my people in the best possible light, in accordance with my capabilities".
It is known that the men and women who represent their country in such competitions must also organize some humanitarian events. They often continue with the same even after the election, and Vladimir successfully responded to this task and combined the current calling of a doctor with a future dentist.
"I designed an action to visit kindergartens, which would be in the service of educating children and parents about dental hygiene, because all later problems that arise are mainly the result of inadequate dental hygiene in the early period," advises Vuković.
Since the election itself, he had little time to prepare for what awaits him in Vietnam in the coming days.
"My preparations will be framed by the fulfillment of obligations by the organizers, and the challenges are a short deadline and finances. For such a performance, the work of a team, photographers, videographers and stylists is necessary. At this moment, I am literally alone with my family, who are doing everything so that their pleas and demands towards the institutions are recognized and responded to. The organizer of the Mister World event in Vietnam is an agency from London, they sent me strict requirements, which should be fulfilled. I personally do not exist in Vietnam at this event, I am Montenegro for them. During the preparatory period, it was necessary to make a video and presentation of Montenegro and many other things," he recalls.
Such events as the world elections are often a great basis for new contacts and jobs. Given that he himself is engaged in modeling, he is sure that his participation in this contest will mean a lot for his modeling work in the future.
"All contacts, especially of this nature, are more than welcome and will provide me with a level of communication that will probably be of great help to me in all fields in which I am interested."
In the elections, in addition to the numerous competitions, the one where the participants show their talent is also important. As a karate player who won medals with the Montenegrin national team, Vladimir reveals whether this talent of his will be an "ace up his sleeve" at the selection in Vietnam:
"Of course, my sports experience will help me in every possible way. Especially from the world of martial arts, karate in the first place. One of the 18 days will be a presentation of the talent that the contestants possess. Apart from other trumps I have (eloquence, wider education, etc.), that will still be my main card", says Vuković, and it is precisely the sport where the competitions were difficult and frequent, so that experience will be a great foundation for all that what awaits him in Vietnam in the coming days.
"Martial sports, in addition to physical strength, also develop mental and spiritual strength, which you will agree is a prerequisite for success in any field, even in events like this. Focus and persistent work will provide every person with a good result", the dentistry student is sure. The obligations you have as the officially most beautiful Montenegrin promises that they will not affect your studies, although in recent days it has not been easy to balance considering that the election happens just when there is the most to study.
"I believe and I was brought up both through family and sports that several different professions and activities, which even at first glance do not have many points of contact, can form a complementary whole in such a way that they complement each other with their specificities. Just as, for example, intellectual work rests from physical work and vice versa, making one 'machine', so these activities that I engage in can serve the same purpose. The secret is in balance, discipline and organization", concludes Vuković.
