On May 19, the Academic Cultural and Artistic Society "Mirko Srzentić" will celebrate 60 years of dance and work with a concert at Independence Square, entitled "While the dance lasts - the city remembers."
"AKUD Mirko Srzentić is giving its city an evening full of dance, song and emotion, as an introduction to the jubilee year. Through choreography, choral and orchestral performances, viewers will experience a story of perseverance, cultural identity and a heritage that lasts for generations," they announced.
The A ensemble, B ensemble, C ensemble – the children's ensemble, the orchestra and the society's choir – will perform on stage from 20 p.m.
"Each performance will revive the spirit of different regions, bringing the energy of past times to the contemporary pulse of the city. In the glow of the spotlight, in the rhythm of heritage and legacy, we give Podgorica what we love most - our dance, our voice, and above all, love and togetherness. For sixty years, we have been preserving and nurturing the rhythm of heritage. On May 19, we give it to our city - in song, dance, sound and words. Welcome to celebrate, dance and remember together."
