Radiohead's Paul Thomas Anderson and Jonny Greenwood have asked for their song "Phantom Thread" to be removed from the Melania Trump documentary.
The documentary, which hit theaters last month, features music from the 2017 film "Phantom Thread," directed by Anderson and composed by Greenwood.
Both the director and the musician requested that the music be removed from the documentary "Melania", stating that it violates the copyright agreement.
"It has come to our attention that some of the music from 'Phantom Thread' was used in the documentary 'Melania'. Although Jonny Greenwood does not own the copyright to the music, Universal Studios did not consult him as a third party in the rights agreement. As a result, both Jonny and Paul Thomas Anderson have requested that the disputed music be removed from the documentary," the joint statement said.
The documentary chronicles the 20 days of the US First Lady before her husband Donald Trump returned to the White House.
Amazon, Disney, Netflix, and Paramount Pictures competed to produce the documentary, but Amazon won the opportunity to make the film by offering $40 million, the largest sum ever invested in a documentary.
