Italian metal musician Dominik Paris has attracted the attention of the world media by winning a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics currently being held in his country.
He won third place in the Alpine Skiing category and is the second oldest athlete to win a medal in this competition at the age of 36, while his compatriot Giovanni Franzoni won silver.
When he's not skiing, Paris is engaged as the singer and frontman of the Italian groove metal band "Rise Of Voltage", which he founded with his brother, guitarist Lukas Paris, in 2017. The band also consists of bassist Frank Pichler and drummer Florian Schweinbacher.
They released their debut album "Time" in 2018, and their LP "Escape" was released in 2024.
In an interview with an ESPN reporter, he talked about "juggling band and sports commitments," emphasizing that "Rise Of Voltage" is his passion project.
He also pointed out that he has been involved in music since the age of 14, and in parallel with competing at the Winter Olympics, he is booking performances for the summer.
