Taylor Swift fan turns hobby into income

A Taylor Swift fan has managed to turn her long-standing love of music into a full-time job.

Olivia Levin (26) started the SwiftiesForEternity account on Tumblr and Instagram more than a decade ago. She says she has been following Swift since she was 13, when she found an online community of people who shared her passion for music and the singer.

After graduating from college, she got a job in the corporate sector and ran a fan page in parallel, until April 2023, when she lost her job. It was then that her account began to grow rapidly, especially during the Eras tour.

"I was applying for other jobs, and at the same time my account was 'exploding'. Then I met a brand manager, who suggested that we collaborate and try to make a business out of it. I started to include myself more in the content and it turned out that it worked, I was earning more than in a corporate job," Levin told People magazine.

Today, her profile is followed by almost 630.000 people, and she posts news about Taylor Swift every day, analyzes her songs, and reveals hidden details in the lyrics.

Thanks to this, she decided to dedicate herself fully to this work and give up her classic career.

"This is my job now," says Levin.

However, this way of working requires constant availability. She is often contacted by the media to speak on behalf of the fan community, and sometimes she has to react at any moment.

"I can be at a family lunch, but if Taylor announces something new, I have to pick up the phone and let people know about it. There's always something going on and I have to be available all the time," she explained.
