The "We All Dance, We Give Our Hearts Through Dance" Festival has made Podgorica a center of folklore

The center of Podgorica was a place of tradition, culture, heritage and folklore last night, point out the organizers of the event "We all dance, we give our hearts with dance."

"Participants of all generations, 600 of them, from 14 folklore ensembles, organized the festival "We all dance, we give our hearts with dance" for the citizens, which is being organized in the capital for the fourth year in a row. The folklorists first paraded along Slobode Street, after which they performed a joint choreography on Independence Square," the statement explains.

This was followed by a rich festival program which, according to the Podgorica Tourist Organization, is already becoming a tradition.

"The festival is organized by the Podgorica Municipal Council, the Capital City and the Association of Folklore Ensembles of Montenegro. We hope that this is another opportunity for all fellow citizens and guests to become acquainted with the rich cultural heritage of Montenegro and the region," said Andrea Rafailović-Stojović, representing the Podgorica Municipal Council, adding that last night's program was enriched by the KIC "Pop-hor", the Women's Original Group "Dukat" and the Association of Parents of Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities.

The goal of the festival, he emphasizes, is the synergy of different cultures.

"Dances from various regions were presented here - from the coast to the north. We had children's, Macedonian, Roma dances. This event will grow year after year and we are sure that it will become something that will make Podgorica recognizable," said Rafailović-Stojović.
