The Rolling Stones and Marvel join forces

The Rolling Stones have joined forces with Marvel to launch a special collector's edition of vinyl editions of their new album "Foreign Tongues".

The new collaboration comes as the legendary rock band prepares to release their 25th studio album, scheduled for July 10th via Polydor/Universal Music.

The album will feature guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, Steve Winwood, and the band's late drummer Charlie Watts. The album will feature previously released singles "Rough And Twisted" and "In The Stars," as well as a cover of the famous song "You Know I'm No Good," originally performed by Amy Winehouse.

Now, less than a month before the album's release, the Stones have confirmed a new collaboration with Marvel regarding the album's cover art. Special limited edition collectors' editions will be available, in which the original cover will be replaced with illustrations inspired by Marvel superheroes.

Customers will be offered five different versions: Hulk carrying a truck with the famous Rolling Stones lips logo on the side, Spider-Man weaving the recognizable logo from his web, Captain America breaking through a wall decorated with the band's logo, Thor holding his hammer while lightning bolts form the lips symbol around him, and Wolverine standing in front of the iconic logo.

All illustrations for this issue were created by Marvel artists specifically for this collaboration.

The full tracklist for the album was released last month. The song titles have appeared on streaming platforms, but written in different foreign languages, in line with the album's title.
