Films that marked Lopez's life

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein play love partners in Netflix's new romantic comedy "Office Romance," and the actress and singer appeared on his podcast "Films to Be Buried With" as part of the promotion.

Their closeness was evident during the conversation, and Lopez was very open, even revealing which movie she found the most "exciting," Yahoo News reports.

It's the 1993 film "True Romance," a crime thriller starring Christian Slater, Val Kilmer, Patricia Arquette, and Gary Oldman.

"I would be intimate with any of them," Lopez joked, adding that the cast was "incredibly good" and that the film was full of "dark and suspicious characters."

"You have Christian Slater who works in a record store and has visions of Elvis, played by Val Kilmer," explained the singer known for the hit "On the Floor."

"And then you have Patricia Arquette, who is perfect in the role of a prostitute with a heart of gold, the most gentle person," Lopez points out, noting that Arquette is attractive in the film even after the brutal beating scene.

"She's still sexy. You still want to kiss her. You know what I mean? An incredible movie," she emphasized.

She also praised the other cast members, including James Gandolfini as a hitman and Brad Pitt as a laid-back marijuana enthusiast.

The film also starred Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, and Samuel L. Jackson, while the screenplay was written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott.

After admitting that she "would be with any of them," Lopez added:

"That's true. It probably says a lot about me, maybe my darker side."

Among the films that marked her life, she listed "West Side Story", "Flashdance", "9 1/2 Weeks", "The Notebook", "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" and "I'm Still Here".

Speaking about the film "I'm Still Here," Lopez revealed that she watched it during her divorce from Ben Affleck, during the Christmas holidays, while she was sick, and in the company of her father.

"My father was sitting next to me and suddenly something broke inside me. I started crying thinking about my children, my relationship with my father and everything I had been through. The whole family knew I was going through a difficult time," the singer and actress admitted, adding that she tried to hide her emotions, but failed.

"Tears just streamed down my face," she recalled, adding that the conversation with her father changed her life.

"It healed a part of me that needed to be healed so I could move on and leave certain relationships in my life behind. That film changed me and helped me mature," she claims.
