Many people can't imagine going to the movies without popcorn, but that's not the case for Anne Hathaway. The Hollywood actress has revealed that she's allergic to it.
While promoting the film "The Odyssey" alongside Matt Damon on the show "Royal Court," the 43-year-old actress revealed that she is allergic to the favorite movie snack.
"I have a confession to make - I'm allergic to popcorn," Hathaway said, surprising her colleague.
"Seriously? That's really tragic," Damon replied.
"I know. It's so sad," the actress added with a smile.
Instead of popcorn, Hathaway most often chooses pretzels with mustard at the cinema, and if they're not available, M&M's with peanuts and a Coke or Dr Pepper.
Unlike her, Damon doesn't hide the fact that he's a big fan of popcorn.
"I like to combine them with Raisinets chocolate candies the most, and sometimes Milk Duds. I love it when the caramel sticks to my teeth for hours after a movie," the actor joked.
Hathaway and Damon star together in Christopher Nolan's new film "The Odyssey," in which they play Penelope and Odysseus.
