Lily-Rose Depp has revealed her thoughts on aliens and the possibility that non-human life exists somewhere in space.
The actress (27) will soon appear in the film "Alpha Gang," the story of a group of aliens who come to Earth for the first time. The film premiered on Friday, September 11.
"The universe is so vast and vast that it would be a little silly to think that there's nothing else besides us," Depp told PEOPLE when asked if she believes in the existence of life beyond Earth.
"It would be quite egocentric to say, 'No, only we exist.' That's why I definitely believe in aliens," she said, adding that among them "there may be friends, and there may be enemies."
"We have no idea how vast and incredible the universe really is, or what's going on there," he says.
When the film's group of aliens, aptly named the Alpha Gang, arrive on Earth, they discover human emotions for the first time and are surprised by the full range of feelings that humans experience.
Therefore, the question arises, what would surprise aliens the most if they really came to Earth?
"We're a bit of an alien too. When you think about it, everything we do is pretty weird. We put food in our mouths, we have an opening in our face through which we take in everything we need to continue functioning, and then we go to the toilet. It's all pretty strange actually. We live in our bodies, we wash them, we take care of them, and we do all these things. When you step back and look at everything that people do every day, you realize how weird it really is to be human," she concluded.
