Actor Vin Diesel recently revealed to the media that he has smoothed over relations with his colleague from the movie "Fate of the Furious", Dwayne The Rock Johnson, pointing out that the differences between the two were "overblown", writes nydailynews.com.
Diesel (49) said in the latest interview that the drama surrounding Johnson and him in the media is exaggerated, and that they are actually very good friends.
"I don't think the public is aware of how close we are, in a weird way. Some things are overblown and I'm sure those were not his intentions. I know he appreciates the work I put into this franchise. "In my house, they call him 'Uncle Dwayne,'" pointed out Diesel, who so far has not commented on the media's speculation about the alleged dispute.
It all started back in August of last year, when the American media announced that Dwayne was dissatisfied with the creative decisions that Diesel made as a producer of the film in which they both star. After that, The Rock ironically called his colleague a 'cute duo' in a tweet, and soon the fights from both sides continued on social networks.
"I protect the franchise, everyone who is a part of it, including Dwayne. I was protecting him more than he was aware of. But it doesn't matter. He doesn't need to know. However, I know he appreciates it. "Dwayne has only one Vin in his life, one big brother in the movies, and that's me," Diesel said.
“I always supported him. I am the first multicultural star in Hollywood, there was no one else. So seeing another multicultural star made me proud. It was never easy to be the alpha, and there are two of us," the actor continued.
