The shortest international route, the eight-minute flight between Germany and Switzerland, has been canceled, officials announced.
The line, which carried passengers across Lake Constance on a flight between Altenrhein in Switzerland and Friedrichshafen in southern Germany, was launched in November last year.
The Friedrichshafen airport management announced that the Viennese airline "People's Viennaline" is canceling the route on April 14 due to low demand.
Environmentalists criticized that mini-flight as a pointless source of air pollution.
