The famous British musician Elton John spoke of his praise for George Michael, recalling his relationship with the late pop icon during the "Rocket Hour" radio show.
"George was not only a good friend, but he was one of the best authors England has ever produced and certainly one of the best singers in the world," John expressed his opinion.
He recalled the moment he first heard the big hit "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" by Michael's band Wham!, as well as his guest appearance at their last show.
"I performed dressed as Ronald McDonald at Wembley Stadium and bought them a three-wheeled car and wrote their names on it," said John.
"I want to remember him for his beautiful music and his kindness that people keep mentioning. He was the kindest, most generous man, and he did it all without seeking any publicity. I watched him help so many people. I miss him so much because of his music, but even more so because of his humanity," the English musician pointed out.
John performed several of Michael's songs on the show, and for the track "One More Try" he said that he would like it to be his.
"It's rare that I'm jealous of someone's song, but I have to admit that I am about this one. I wish I'd written it," commented the pop star.
