The young Montenegrin singer Maša Vujadinović will participate in the "Golden Microphone" festival in Slovenia, which will be held from July 19 to 24 in Bled. The woman from Podgorica, who will also be the only contestant from Montenegro, will present herself to Slovenians at the festival with two songs in the competition, and she will also sing in the revue part.
"The rule is that you have to sing one track in the language of the country you come from, and one in a foreign language. I decided to sing "Što te nema" for the competition part, but Nina Kraljić's version. As for the second song, I chose “It hurts so bad” by Susan Tedeschi. I will also sing at the opening of the festival, and for that occasion I chose Beyoncé and her hit "Listen" because she is one of my favorite singers, not only because she is a great performer, but she is complete on stage," Vujadinović told "Vijesti" .
Maša admits that she has long wanted to appear at this festival, which she heard about through a friend from Croatia.
"I was lucky that they also heard about me, they saw my videos on the YouTube service and invited me to participate, which I enthusiastically accepted," said Vujadinović, who has won numerous awards at children's festivals. However, as she says, when choosing a song in her native language, she did not think about presenting herself with one of her tracks.
"These are songs that I recorded earlier and I think that they are not the most suitable for my age. Although, the rules state that the track must be a hit, so that's one of the reasons why I decided not to make it one of my songs," she admits.
The competition is divided by age, there are five groups, and Vujadinović will participate in the one marked "M".
"As far as the competition is concerned, I am not informed, because I have not participated in that festival until now, but the fact that we will be from several countries sounds like it will not be easy for us. I don't think about awards, the only thing that matters to me is to have a good time, meet as many people as possible and present myself in the best way, because after all I am the only participant from Montenegro. I hope that I will have time to visit Bled as well because they say it is a beautiful place", concluded Vujadinović.
