The frontman of the popular band "Zoster" Mario Knezović will star in the film "Dead Fish Swimming on the Back", which has been being filmed in his native Mostar for the past few days.
The film is directed by Kristijan Milić, based on the script by Josip Mlakić, and the two have already worked together on the production of "The Living and the Dead", with which they won many awards at film festivals. They are shooting the new project in Mostar and its surroundings, more specifically in Blagaj and the Neretva canyon near Grabovica.
"I know the director, so he offered me one of the roles, which I enthusiastically accepted. I play Mić, and the film is an omnibus, there is no main actor, but a collection of several stories related to one event," Knezović told "Vijesta". He hopes that Milić's achievement will contribute to popularizing his town among tourists.
"Filming has only just begun, and it has already greatly contributed to the popularization of Mostar. I hope that over time Mostar will grow into a film city and that more similar projects will be filmed in my hometown", hopes Knezović.
Engagement in the film, he points out, will not be difficult for him, because he has the support of his colleagues, including Goran Bogdan.
"It is with him that I play our story, and how I will manage in the role assigned to me, I will know when I start filming, because it is not our turn yet. Now I'm currently preparing for my role and I'm doing well, but it all depends on how you fit in with the rest of the team. However, I know most of the people with whom I will be working on the film and I hope that this excursion into the acting waters will not be difficult for me", emphasizes Knezović.
The movie "Dead fish swimming on their backs" will be filmed until the end of April, and as the people of Mostar say, their city will be Hollywood in miniature for a month.
The plot is set during the war years in the Bosnian-Herzegovina province, and the only link in the story is a bizarre suicide that stunned the town. The film stars Dragan Despot, Marinko Prga, Asim Ugljen, Đorđe Kukljica, Ornela Vištica, Asja Jovanović, Marijana Mikulić...
