British musician Elton John held a surprise and free concert in Los Angeles today in front of several thousand people, local media in the USA reported and added that the concert was joined by singer Lady Gaga, who will perform at tonight's Oscar ceremony.
Elton John (66), winner of the Grammy music award, held a concert in the parking lot of the famous record store Tower Records, to thank the city where he organizes a dinner every year after the Oscars to raise money for the fight against AIDS.
During the concert, which lasted more than an hour, the British singer performed a duet with Lady Gaga. They sang classics like "Bennie and the Jets," "Tiny Dancer" and "Your Song."
