When were you happiest?
When I'm hanging out or when I'm performing. I don't know what kind of person that makes me.
Which living person do you admire and why?
My little sister Grace. As much as I am not capable and calm, she is.
What don't you like about yourself?
Egocentricity.
When was the first time you were embarrassed?
About five years ago. I'm still not ready to talk about it, but it's about going out with a guy.
Real estate aside, what's the most expensive thing you've bought?
I walked into a vintage designer clothing store drunk and woke up the next morning clutching a Chanel bag and wearing a fur coat. I'm still embarrassed to tell anyone how much those things cost me.
What is the most valuable thing you own?
My notebook with song lyrics.
If you could choose what super power would you have?
That I can fall asleep whenever I need to and sleep exactly as much as I need.
What makes you unhappy?
My brain.
What is your favorite scent?
The smell of someone you love.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Zoologist or secretary.
What book changed your life?
The first one I picked up. In kindergarten one day they forgot me in the corner where the books were and I read every book from the shelf, one by one.
What's the worst thing someone has said to you?
When they told me that my father was hit by a car while I was on tour.
Who would you most like to say you're sorry to?
To some of my ex-boyfriends.
Who is the greatest love of your life?
I think that has yet to be discovered.
When did you experience the most beautiful kiss in your life?
When I was drunk at a house party, I was 17 years old.
Have you ever told someone you love them and didn't mean it?
No. I always felt it at the given moment.
What word or phrase do you use too much?
"What's the internet password here?"
What is your biggest disappointment?
That I never got the lead role in the school musical.
If you could, what would you change from your past?
Probably a couple of drunken incidents, but I'd keep the fur coat.
How often do you have sex?
I'm not a one night stand person so it depends if I'm in a relationship and on tour.
When were you closest to death?
In the days when I was having a hard time, maybe too close.
What is the most important lesson you have learned in life?
That everything that happens to me happens for a reason, despite the fact that sometimes that's why I don't feel good.
Where would you most like to be right now?
I'm always on the road, so it would be nice to be in my home in London.
