The twelfth edition of the Petrovac Jazz Festival ended last night with the "Concert for Peace" by the "Magra Grecia" orchestra.

After 18 days, which was the duration of the festival at several locations in Petrovac, Kotor and Budva, last night at the Citadel the audience had the opportunity to enjoy a classical music concert.

The orchestra from Puglia was conducted by Piero Romano, and it consists of well-known Italian and Albanian artists and friends. The "Concert for Peace" project stems from many political, religious, social, economic and psychological problems that the Balkan peoples, as well as other Europeans, have experienced in the last ten years. In 2017, this concert was supported by cultural institutions from Albania, Italy and Greece, and the organizers of the project plan to expand the activity to Montenegro this year.

The concert was also attended by the president of the municipality of Budva, Dragan Krapović, the director of TO Budva, Mladen Franović, as well as the consul of Croatia, Marijan Klasić.

The Petrovac Jazz Festival exists, is growing and creates the image of one of the most prestigious events of this type in the region, said festival director Vinko Mihajlović and pointed out that he was satisfied with how the 12th edition went.

"I think 18 days is too short for a manifestation like this. I expect that already next year the Petrovac Jazz Festival will last longer, with an even stronger program. We have already started preparations for the next PJF", said Mihajlović.

The organizer of the festival is the NGO "Urbani Kult".
