Josipa Lisac is the main star of the Bedem Fest

The legendary Croatian singer Josipa Lisac is the star of this year's Bedem Fest, which will be held from September 3 to 6, the organizers of this event announced yesterday during their presentation at the 24th Adriatic Tourism Fair in Budva.

This year's edition of the increasingly popular Nikšić festival will carry the slogan "Peace, brother, peace", and due to, as the organizers said, the huge interest of visitors and bands from the entire region, the festival will last four days for the first time.

The novelty is that the offer will also include a camp. The stay in the camp under the ramparts will be free, and festival director Petar Šundić thanked Rad Spasojević and the Petrović-Njegoš family for that.

The organization of Bedem fest also announced that cooperation has been established with several festivals from the region, such as Croatian Demo Rock, Belgrade's Bunt Rock Masters, Zaječar's Guitar Festival and Omladine, whose winners will play in Nikšić.

"It is important to point out that the energy of Bedem has spread throughout the region and that NIkšić is recognized as a real host. This makes us proud and we are pleased by the fact that at this moment over a hundred bands from the ex-Yu area have expressed their desire to perform at Bedem Fes, which confirmation of our sincere work and dedication," said Šundić.

He added that Bedem will have a wider social and sociological effect this year, in addition to the musical one. Thus, the festival will mark 70 years since the end of the Second World War and express respect for the victims of all wars.

"On this occasion, on the small stage of the Nikšić rampart, in cooperation with the Bunker association, we will realize a kind of announcement of the Bedem Fest, as well as the work of the mentioned association, with a concert of bands from Nikšić", announced Šundić.

He especially thanked Serbian rocker Đorđe David, who was a guest of the Bedem Fest team at the tourism fair.

"Almost everyone stopped to see the Bedem Fest stand, because it was the only stand that played quality music. Of course, I was very pleased that a large number of people took pictures and talked with me, and I, like a real PR, invited them to Bedem Fest. We may not be the most popular with rock music, but today the Bedem Fest stand was 'numero uno' in the hall of the Adriatic Fair. I can't wait for that September", said Đorđe David.
