On the occasion of the three-day "Ex-YU Festival", where, in the authentic setting of Cetinje's Dvorski Square, the "YU Group", "Generation Five" and "Wild Strawberries" will perform, a press conference was held today in the Ceremonial Hall of the Municipality of Cetinje.
The event, where three legends of the music scene of the former Yugoslavia will perform, was announced by the spokesman of the Capital of Cetinje, Miloš Prelević, the director of the Tourism Organization of the Capital of Cetinje, Ana Ivanović, the representative of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism (MORT), Nikola Ražnatović, and the spokesperson of Montenegro Airlines, Nenad Marković, as and members of the "YU group" that will open the festival - Žika Jelić and Petar Jelić.
The "Ex-YU festival" is another in a series of numerous cultural events this year in Cetinje, which, without a doubt, will be well attended," Prelevic pointed out.
"With a good attendance during the upcoming three evenings, the number of visitors to this year's art events in the area of the Capital of Cetinje will reach 50.000. This is good data, which assures us that our fellow citizens and guests followed a high-quality, genre-diverse program this year as well," he emphasized.
Ivanovic expressed her satisfaction that the organization of major musical events in our city follows the traditionally most visited program "Summer in Prijestonica".
As Ražnatović said, MORT was pleased to support the idea of the "Ex-YU festival" in Cetinje, as part of a program aimed at extending the tourist season.
"Through the program of incentive measures for the organization of thematic gatherings and events, funds were provided to support the organizers of traditional as well as new events. The aim of the incentive is the development of the event and congress segment of the tourist offer, the extension of the tourist season, as well as the improvement of the results of the tourist offer", stated Ražnatović.
The company "Montenegro Airlines", as pointed out by Marković, contributed to the organization of the event by promoting the "Ex-YU Festival" throughout the region during the past few days.
Zika Jelić from the "YU group" also greeted those present, who said that all the members of that group are eagerly awaiting the start of the concert at the "Ex-YU Festival".
"We are very glad to be in this beautiful city and to perform again in front of the Montenegrin audience. We are convinced that the concert will be well attended, all the more so because we think that the idea of organizing such a festival is excellent. We promise an excellent performance that the audience will enjoy", said Jelić.
His younger colleague Petar Jelić also expressed his belief that the concert will live up to the audience's expectations, while concluding that events like the "Ex-YU Festival" represent excellent opportunities for the affirmation of quality music.
From tonight until Sunday evening - after the festival - numerous catering establishments in Cetinje will prepare special programs after the concerts. Therefore, the city administration made a decision to extend the working hours for bars, which will be open until two o'clock in the morning tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.
All three concerts will be held at Dvorski trg from 19:XNUMX.
The festival is opened by "YU group" tonight.
