The Austrian trio "Dusha Conection" presented itself to the audience in Petrovac last night, holding a concert as part of the Petrovac Jazz Festival, the organizers of the festival announced.
"They ended their Montenegrin tour on the terrace of the "Palas" hotel, and they used the gathering with the audience to present compositions from their debut album "Merak" which was released last year. compositions of modern jazz sound imbued with ethnic motifs from the Balkans. At the very beginning, they performed the composition "Bentbash". The drummer, who is from Belgrade and has lived and worked in Vienna for many years, came on a Montenegrin tour under the auspices of the Austrian Embassy. The moderator of the concert was his wife Elena, who throughout the entire time tried to animate the audience as much as possible," the statement of the Petrovac Jazz Festival states.
The announcement adds that the first part of the concert was dedicated to original compositions, and their guest at the concert was the singer-songwriter Ana Kos, with whom the members of the "Dusha Conection" trio will collaborate on her album.
"Ana, who studied at Berklee, sang two of her compositions to the Montenegrin audience. After a fifteen-minute break, the members of Dusha Conection decided to play a few jazz standards, and then Elena, who is not only a good moderator but also an excellent violinist, joined them on stage. and for the very end they left "Ajde Jano", it is written in the announcement of the Petrovac jazz festival.
Festival director Vinko Mihajlović presented gifts to guests from Austria.
"This year's festival will last 18 days, at several locations in Petrovac, Budva and Kotor, so on this occasion I invite everyone to come to the festival and have a good time. May the following days be dedicated to jazz," said Mihajlović.
Sanja Raičković and Šule Jovović, as well as the band "Q art" will perform this evening at the "Palas" hotel. It starts at 21:XNUMX, and the entrance is free.
