Bedem Fest: "There is something in the good old rock too"

The first evening of "Bedem Fest" showed that Nikšić is still a city of rock and good sound. The old city fortress was small enough to accommodate all those who wanted to enjoy hard sound and good energy from 18 pm to XNUMX am.

"This is a madhouse. There is still hope for our city because it's not all about turbo folk. There is something in the good old rock too", said one Saša, who came from Podgorica to, as he said, enjoy a good concert and a good "Nikšić beer".

Abzorfan broke the ice, although it seems that it was not so difficult with a good audience. Then Hypothalamus, Happy Hour, Mangrove, Rock In Peace performed. The audience sang, jumped, drank beer, ate popcorn and sandwiches (because the organizer made sure that nothing was missing), the atmosphere was "crazy" even outside the concert area, and then the band Voodoo performed. They invited Boris Lješković from DST to join them and sing a number with them, which he gladly accepted. The audience was even more pleased when Boris appeared in his underwear. They greeted his performance with screams and applause, and he responded with a good performance. The performers took turns, Siempre Peligrosso, Rebeka, hip hoppers Bacili, Psiho Mistik and Na vam ga, the audience responded well to all the songs, and Bedem was, at least for these two evenings, the center of rock in Montenegro. What's positive about alternative rock bands is, judging by the first night of Bedem Fest, that everyone gets along well and respects each other.

So Manitou, who raised the atmosphere to an even higher level, invited the singer of "Punkreas" Goran Dabović to join them and sing a song together, which he did. Due to unforeseen circumstances, "Punkreas" canceled their performance at the fest, but their singer Daba replaced it with a song he sang with the band "Manitou", whose song "Concrete", as expected, met with the greatest enthusiasm of the audience. Everyone sang in the choir, and despite persistent insistence that they sing a few more songs, that did not happen because, as Marko Janjušević, the band's frontman, said, the hourly rate and the festival program must be respected. But he promised some new companionship.

Where they left off, Off Duty, who recently released their debut album "One more day", continued. Track "There are thieves here", new madness on the stage and around her and another guest on stage. They invited Marko Vukajlović from "Gomila nesklad" to join them and performed a composition together. The Montenegrin bands made an excellent introduction for what followed - a striking ternim and a striking performance by the Belgrade rock group, one of the favorites in Montenegro, "Kanda, Kodža and Nebojša".

The hits of the Belgrade band, which started the performance with "Šta s' to pojo", then continued with "Ton po ton", "Kidikidi svetsi", "Kafane i rocknerol", "Pašću u svest"...

"When I told my friends from Belgrade that I was going to Nikšić, a city where there are two big rock and roll festivals (Lake and Bedem Fest), they didn't believe me. And only when I tell them how it was for us here. Kudos to the organizers because everything went perfectly, without a single mistake," said Oliver.

Nikšić was already sleeping a lot, only Bedem was awake and alive. The first night of the festival, whose slogan this year is "No money, no compromise", was closed by DJs Marek Tripkowsky and Chicha.

Last night, "Downfall", "Mikrokosma", "Zoon politikon", Saša Stojanović and friends, "Beer & Steel", "Spiral Frequency", "Marble", "Petar Miks", "Fyodor", "Sirius" and " Darkwood Dub", as well as DJs Freaky Funk and Proximus.

A festival that sustains enthusiasm

Petar Šundić, one of the organizers of the event, which has been held in Nikšić for the fourth year in a row, was satisfied with how this year's edition of the festival went.

"It's a nice feeling when you see how many people came and that everyone is enjoying themselves, from the audience to the performers. We are also proud of this year's edition of 'Bedem Fest', because all this was created with hard and hard work, with a lot of enthusiasm and love. We tried to be good hosts and I hope we succeeded in that", said Šundić.

Appreciating the comments of the performers and the audience, and there were some from all over Montenegro, but also from Herzegovina, the organizers passed the exam with high marks this time as well.
