"Summer Awakening", an event organized by JUK Herceg Fest at the dawn of the first day of summer for the fourth year at Forte mare fortress, brought good music and positive energy this morning as well. Although, due to the clouds, the audience did not, according to tradition, see the sunrise, the group Amy's House - Tribute band to Amy Winehouse made sure of a nice experience.
"Amy's House", a tribute band to the great jazz/soul singer, was formed at the end of 2015 and came together around the idea of conveying to fans the magic of one of the most established and recognized singers and authors of the new age.
"Gathered around the same idea, the sound that Amy Winehouse carved into the world music jazz/soul scene in her short creative life, in the desire to continue bringing it to those who recognized and adopted it, Amy's House created a total audio-visual spectacle, without a doubt, unique and unrepeatable", critics point out.
Nevena Filipović, the band's vocalist, said that this was her first performance at this time of day, but that everything went "phenomenally and that it was a perfect experience".
"It's not easy to be someone else, whoever that is. Amy was a great singer, we worked a lot on that, but as time goes by, it's getting easier, When I put on the wig it's Amy, when I take it off, I'm Nevena again"
The visitors also agreed that it was a great experience. An American woman who is on vacation with her friends in Herceg Novi, was impressed by the atmosphere and ambience, as well as the audience, among which there were many young people.
"Congratulations for raising the energy to this level. We need more similar events".
Branka Knežević from JUK Herceg fest reminded that the Summer Awakening program has become traditional and that every year it gathers more and more audiences, which makes her happy. He points out that this unique manifestation can still be upgraded, without losing its unique charm.
