Dave Grohl plays drums on the new Queens of The Stone Age album

Former Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will collaborate again with the American alternative band Queens Of The Stone Age, writes NME.

The rumors were confirmed by Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme. Grohl will play drums on the next album in place of Joey Castillo, who left the band.

"Dave and I have an amazing relationship musically, which we don't have with other people," Hom said in a guest appearance with Zane Lowe on BBC1 Radio.

Dave Grohl previously collaborated with Queens of the Stone Age on their 2002 album "Songs for the Deaf", and together with Hom, he founded the band "Them Crooked Vultures", whose third member was John Paul Jones, former member of Led. Zeppelin.
