The three-member band from Podgorica "Demodemolls" released their debut album "Pigs` Enemies" on the portal mulj.net. The release was recorded in the Metasound studio under the production baton of Nemanja Bečanović and is available to everyone for free download.
"The album 'Pig's Enemies' contains eight songs, two remixes and one live version. By the way, these are songs that are as old as the band itself, they have existed since the beginning. For example, the track 'Imaj u vidu', which will be on the album live version or 'Virus', those are the two oldest tracks. I can say that they have been 'cooking' all the time, they were constantly changing and let's say they have now taken their best shape," said "Demodemolls" frontman Boban Pejović for "Vijesti".
The band started recording the album right on Montenegro's Independence Day, so, as the members told us, "the sound rehearsal of 'Unfaithful Babies' was bothering them".
I keep hearing how everyone is better than me' - well, he is a student at the Faculty of Philosophy, but someone there, Darko Šarić, is much better than him.
"With this song, I tried to say something about that ever-present media pressure. It starts with the lyrics: 'I keep hearing how everyone is better than me' - well, he's a student at the Faculty of Philosophy, but someone there, Darko Šarić, is much better than him. That's the image imposed by the media. It doesn't matter that you're a student, this 'resourceful' guy is better than you. And we keep hearing some fights in the media. The song 'What's left?' calls for rebellion because, as the lyrics say, that's exactly what's left. It's much better that way than if a person shuts down and hates everything. We also have the song 'Sila' on the album, which is dedicated to Cetinje high school students, and 'What's left' is unrelated not for any individual, but for all those who feel 'as if they are constantly stumbling'", Boban Pejović explained the track for which the band recorded and the video directed by Ivana Pejović.
The group will hold an album promotion on Sunday, June 3 in "Montenegro pub", and Pejović invited all the group's fans to come, because "Demodemolls needs money to pay for the album". The entrance will cost two euros, and Pejović said that the audience will not be disappointed with the concert.
"You could start practicing falling on your ass, so that when our album comes out, it won't be: 'We didn't know, we didn't prepare, why didn't you tell us,'" Pejović told the audience on his Facebook profile.
Millions for the people
Pejović presented himself at this year's recently held AVI fest with the piece "Abdullah Lotos – Beli, patron of the Montenegrin rock scene".
In the film, Pejović criticizes the conditions in which Montenegrin musicians create, and in one part he openly calls out the current government and those who put money in their pockets at the expense of local bands that play for free. That's why we asked him how much "Demodemolls" will be paid to perform at this year's Lake Fest.
"We will be paid around 257 million euros. You know, we are collecting money to return the Montenegrin citizens the money they took from them," said Pejović.
