"Europe Day" was celebrated the night before last in Podgorica with the concerts of cult Croatian musician Darko Rundek and the Mostar band Zoster.
From the stage at the Independence Square, the ambassador of the European Union in Montenegro, Aivo Orav, pointed out that this event is their gift to the citizens of Montenegro, who are also future citizens of the European Union.
Then, to the delight of the audience that arrived on time, members of the group Zoster took the stage and began to arrange their tracks - "Police", "Everything in its time", "Where was I", "Utopia"...
Satisfied that in front of him, as he emphasized several times during the concert, he sees the largest audience since his performance in Podgorica, frontman Mario Knezović thanked the fans for their support.
"Thank you, Zoster is your band", were the words of Knezović, to which the audience responded with thunderous applause. Their concert was followed by parents with children who walked around the center beforehand, as well as older people who came early for Rundek's Podgorica concert in order to stand as close as possible to the stage, so there were people of all generations. The audience sang the best to one of the greatest hits of the group "Zoster" - "Ko je jamio, jamio", and after singing to the fans, they also performed the tracks "Izbjeglica", "Bezbolnim palicama", "Volio sam te", and after a little more than an hour of the concert, they ended with "Be Yourself".
Rundek started his performance in front of the Montenegrin audience with the song "Tranzit", and he decided to adapt the original lyrics "I didn't know that I would be in Zagreb again so soon" to the situation, so he mentioned Podgorica instead of Zagreb.
"I am glad that we can play for you on the occasion of Europe Day. That was the day when the fascists signed the surrender, and on that very day we are celebrating 21 years since the release of the album "Apocalypse", Rundek revealed.
The start of the concert, along with "Tamni jurovan" and "Ena", was marked by the pouring rain, which did not drive away the fans who arrived from all over.
The repertoire included, among others, the tracks "Strajk železničara", "Ruke", "Kuba", "Ay Carmela", and during the song "Crni dusi" the audience could also enjoy the interesting choreography in which Rundek was assisted by trumpeter Igor Pavlica and saxophonist Ana. His performance could not pass without the torch that shone on the song "Sejmeni".
Rundek's concert ended much earlier than the audience expected, and as part of the encore he performed only two compositions "Shane" and "Scarf of Silk".
