The song "I want you to tell", the announcement single for the second studio album of the Croatian group "Pink Studio", will be broadcast tomorrow on the airwaves of Radio Vijesti as part of the show "Morning Sounds", author and presenter Ivan Vukčević. Guitarist Josip Pintarić talks about this track and other projects of his band for Vijesti.
"This is an anti-Valentine's song. A few weeks ago I brought the lyrics to my bandmates to read, since it's about a girl leaving a guy. The girls looked at me blankly and said that what I wrote no girl would say , took matters into their own hands and rewrote the text well. I couldn't believe how cruel women can be," said Pintarić.
Everyone drools over that Valentine's Day, everything is beautiful, hearts fly, so we decided to surprise the listeners and do something they didn't expect
"We were shocked when the song was broadcast two days ago on National Radio and the reactions were phenomenal. Why we decided on an anti-Valentine song, the explanation is simple.
Everyone drools over that Valentine's Day, everything is beautiful, hearts fly, so we decided to surprise the listeners and do something they didn't expect. Two years ago, on Valentine's Day, we published a song dedicated to love, and this time that is not the case," said Pintarić.
Autumn time for a new album
When asked when the second album is expected to be released, Pintarić answered:
"In three weeks we will enter the studio, before the summer we will release one single, then there will be a break and in the ninth month another single will be released, and then an album. There will be more electronica, pop, and it will be different from the previous one because the lyrics will no longer be stud- loving. Now we've all finished university, got jobs, so the lyrics will be more realistic, they'll talk about everyday life, going out, relationships".
Pintarić said that the band does not have a working title for the album for now, and that giving names to their works is always difficult for them, so they make the decision at the last moment.
"Pink studio" was founded in 2004 in Zagreb, and apart from Pintarić, it consists of Ivana Kardum Legz (vocals), Ana Bogdan (keyboards), Niko Radas (drums), Nikola Karan (bass), Ana Pavić (backing vocals), and Ivan Glasnović (guitar). In 2009, the band released their first album "Soundtrack for a Doll", recorded in collaboration with Luka Tralić Shot and Erol Zejnilović from "Elemental". So far, they have released four singles, the most successful of which is "The Morning After".
The time for the premiere of the single "I want to tell you" on the airwaves of Radio Vijesti is today at 9.45:18 a.m., while listeners of the Morning Sounds show will be able to hear Pintarić live from 10.30:XNUMX a.m. on Friday, February XNUMX.
